How You Can Help
With the gardening season coming to an end the amount of fresh fruit and vegetables we have to offer our clients is declining. The Food Bank encourages people who are interested in donating food to the Food Bank to consider purchasing fresh fruit and vegetables. We ask that donations of this kind be brought directly to the Food Bank. Donations of any type of food can be dropped off at the Food Bank on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 to 3:00 and Wednesdays from 2:00 till 7:00. Please do not leave food donations outside the door. Thank you so much for your generosity.
- Make a financial donation to the Perth and District Food Bank by cheque, credit card or by authorizing monthly contributions
- Hold a canned food drive in your community, workplace or group
- Become a volunteer at the Food Bank on a regular or occasional basis
- Attend events held as fundraisers for the Food Bank
- Refer your friends and neighbours who may need our services
- Offer a ride to someone so they can get to the Food Bank
- Lobby local, provincial and federal politicians to address the issue of hunger in our communities
Before you hold a food drive or event to benefit the food bank:
Please contact the food bank so that we can publicize your event and ensure it does not conflict with other fund raising activities in the community.
